Capillary based hybrid fiber sensor in a balloon-like shape for simultaneous measurement of displacement and temperature

چکیده

Abstract In this work, a hybrid sensor based on silica capillary in balloon-like shape for simultaneous measurement of displacement and temperature is proposed the first time, to best our knowledge. The fabricated by splicing segment hollow core fiber between two single mode fibers (SMF) bending balloon with at top-center position. transmission scheme, SMF-capillary-SMF configuration excites an antiresonant (AR) guidance enhances Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI). different responses interferometers external variations are conducive application these parameters. Experimental results show that, length 1.2 cm 4 cm, AR insensitive its sensitivity 14.3 pm/°C, while MZI has 1.68 nm/mm twice temperature, 28.6 pm/°C. consists only one sensing element exciting same which makes it simple fabrication as well low cost.
